On 2^nd December, 2022, at Ningxia BLG’s biotechnology health industry base and production site of food additive, gellan gum, carrageenan, konjac gum and other main products slowly come out of the production line. These products will soon be sold to Russia, the United States, Germany and other countries.

This biotechnology health industry base is invested by BLG from Shanghai, the world largest carrageenan manufacturer. The design capacity is 35,700 tons per year. At present, 4 of the 5 production lines planned have been put into operation. As of September this year, a total of 520 million yuan fixed assets have been invested, and the production value is about 14 million yuan. The project is expected to achieve annual sales of around 3.6 billion yuan with tax revenue of 470 million yuan, creating employment for 500 people. The global share of products such as carrageenan will increase from current 26% to more than 60%. BLG is heading towards being the global champion in the colloidal additives segment.

In recent years, with above 1-billion-yuan investment projects frequently landed in Wuzhong City, Wuzhong City has bucked the trend of attracting investment. A number of famous enterprises such as Chine Group and State Grid Xinyuan Group have come. The field of new material has also sprung up, attracting investment from new material enterprises such as XuZhou Yongli and Beijing New Universal. Wuzhong is turning advantages into victory and potential into motivation. In the whole year, 187 ‘Six New, Six Special, Six Excellent’ industrial projects have been introduced. At present, all construction has started with investment of 3 billion yuan, of which 5 projects have completed the planned investment and started operation.
